SICK DS40-P41211 Laser Distance Sensor

SICK DS40-P41211 is a Time-of-Flight laser distance sensor that measures distances to targets non‑contact, with ranges that depend on surface reflectivity: 0.08 m to 2.00 m for 6% remission, 0.08 m to 4.00 m for 18% remission, and 0.08 m to 5.00 m for 90% remission. The P41211 variant provides a single switching output (Q1) configured as PNP; the companion N41211 variant uses an NPN output, and both types support up to 100 mA output current with a switching frequency up to 50 Hz. The device uses a red laser diode and connects via a 5‑pin M12 connector, and it operates on 11 to 30 V DC with current draw under 3 W, making it suitable for compact, low‑power integration into industrial controllers.
