SICK AG GL2S-P1311 Photoelectric Sensor

Compact and highly reliable, the SICK GL2S-P1311 is a miniature retro-reflective photoelectric sensor from SICK’s G2 family designed for tight spaces on conveyors and packaging lines. Operated from 10 to 30 V DC (Class 2) with a three-wire PNP output, the device measures just 7.7 x 21.8 x 13.5 mm and houses a rectangular housing that fits easily alongside small parts. It emits a visible red PinPoint LED at 640 nm and projects a light spot of about 11 mm at 250 mm; with reflector PL40A, its switching range extends from 0.02 m to 3 m (0.03 m to 2.5 m in typical configurations). The 3 m cable-length version simplifies wiring in control panels, and the sensor is designed for long life, rated around 100,000 hours at 25 °C. The GL2S-P1311 is suited to presence/absence detection of reflective targets within a few centimeters to several meters, making it a practical choice for compact automation tasks that require reliable retro-reflective sensing.
