SPECTRO-3-FIO-CL is Sensor Instruments' true color sensor in the compact SPECTRO-3 CL family, designed for surface-color measurement and direct comparison against taught-in reference values. The FIO designation denotes a fiber-optic front end that uses Ø2.5 mm fiber bundles for illumination and light collection, enabling access to small or recessed surfaces. This model supports a range of fiber-optic fixtures and front-end optics, including mounting brackets for transmitted-light fiber optics and attachments such as KL-3 and KL-M18-A2.0, with transmitter/receiver distances configurable at 22 mm, 60 mm, and 100 mm depending on the fixture. The datasheet diagrams also illustrate spot diameter as a function of distance for different fiber configurations (for example, configurations like R-P-A2.0-(2.5)-600-67° and R-S-A2.0-(2.5)-1200-67°). True Color in a compact cubic housing makes it well-suited for inline or benchtop color-inspection stations where repeatable color sensing and reference matching are critical.
