Sensor Instruments SI-COLO2- LWL-SP Color Sensor
Sensor Instruments SI-COLO2- LWL-SP Color Sensor
Description:
Sensor Instruments SI-COLO2-LWL-SP is a reflex color sensor in the SI-COLO Series that uses coaxial transmitter and receiver fibers to detect color codes with a compact front-end. It features a color memory capable of storing up to 15 colors, enabling reliable color-sequence verification in inline assembly and quality-control tasks. The device employs a reflex optical fiber front-end with a front-area of 6 mm by 1 mm and, together with the mounted KL-3 optical unit, creates a light spot smaller than 1 mm at roughly 15 mm from the unit, helping maintain consistent readings despite small distance variations. Typical applications include checking the color sequence of cables at connectors in assembly machines, detecting color marks on cosmetics pencils during rotation, and verifying colored packings or components such as engine bearing halves.
