Semaphore AO-2 RTU Module

AO-2 RTU Module (AO02A) is a two‑channel analog output module designed for Semaphore Kingfisher RTU systems, providing precise, isolated control signals from a compact module. Each channel delivers 16‑bit resolution and can be configured as either a voltage output or a current output, with only one type used per channel. In voltage mode, the per‑channel load is limited to 10 mA (short‑circuit current ~20 mA typical); in current mode, the maximum load impedance is 1 kΩ per channel, with open‑circuit detection supported. Output ranges are configured via a web configurator and/or WorkSuite configuration, with details documented in the RTU user guides. The module includes isolation from digital logic of at least 1 kV and channel‑to‑channel isolation of at least 1 kV to protect the control system, and it operates from a 12 V supply with a typical draw of 200 mA. For wiring, the AO-2 module provides two 12‑position 3.5 mm terminal blocks (Phoenix/MC compatible) for IO terminations, and a front‑panel dual‑color LED indicates module status. Operating temperature ranges from −20 °C to +75 °C (storage −40 °C to +85 °C). As part of Semaphore’s Kingfisher family, the AO-2 module is suited for two independent analog outputs in remote telemetry, process control, and monitoring applications where compact, configurable analog output is required.
