Seika sb2i Inclinometer
Seika sb2i Inclinometer
Description:
The Seika SB2I is a sensorbox in a pressure die-cast aluminium enclosure (IP67) that contains two integrated SEIKA sensors (types B, BDK, N or NB) for measuring inclination or acceleration on two axes and delivering two independent 4–20 mA outputs. Each axis has its own signal conditioner and current loop, powered from a shared terminal supply of 10–30 V, with electrical isolation between sensor channels and the housing and an adjustable 3rd‑order low‑pass filter to suppress interference. The unit’s 98 × 64 × 38 mm housing uses a metal M12 x 1.5 cable gland with strain relief and accepts up to 6 × 1.5 mm² conductors; the gland clamping range is 6–7.5 mm. Output current per channel ranges from 4–20 mA, with 12 mA designated for the zero position, and allowable loop currents span approximately 2.5–3.5 mA minimum to 22–26 mA maximum, enabling a maximum load resistance of about 500 Ω at 24 V. Measuring range and resolution depend on the specific SEIKA sensors installed in the SB2I, offering flexible orientation across the three main housing planes and two axes of measurement. Operating temperature is −40 °C to +85 °C, making the SB2I suitable for harsh environments such as construction, mining, agricultural machinery, transportation and conveyor systems, ships, and general automation where precise two‑axis inclination or acceleration data with robust 4–20 mA outputs is required. Optional configurations include special measuring ranges, a calibration record, silicon encapsulation, and custom wiring.
