OSE-A40-0 Rotary Actuator is a size-40 pneumatic universal swivel unit from SCHUNK's OSE family that provides a compact 180-degree rotary axis for mounting grippers, tools, or lightweight workpieces in automation systems. Constructed with an aluminum housing, it uses a double-piston rack-and-pinion drive powered by filtered compressed air (ISO 8573-1:2010 [7:4:4]); typical diagrams assume about 6 bar supply for standard industrial cycles. The A40-0 variant preserves the center hole through the pinion for through-shaft or cabling routes, and includes a flow-control coupling, fittings, an O-ring for direct connection, mounting screws, and the manufacturer’s assembly and operating manual. Sensor-mounting hardware is provided for end-position monitoring; two sensors are required to monitor the two end positions (a third sensor is needed for a middle position).
