Description:

Schneider Electric’s TSX-SUP-702 Power Supply Module is a front-end DC power source designed to power the control rails of a Modicon/Telemecanique TSX rack, converting AC mains into the stable DC rails required by PLC logic, I/O, and peripheral circuitry. It accepts a dual-range input of 110–127 VAC or 220–240 VAC (with allowable variation 90–140 VAC or 180–264 VAC) at 47–63 Hz, enabling operation from common regional power systems. The unit provides multiple DC outputs: a 5 V rail rated up to 9 A (11 A in certain configurations), a +12 V output up to 5 A, and a -12 V output up to 0.1 A, supporting the diverse needs of TSX-based automation assemblies. It offers a maximum apparent power of 180 VA (with variants up to about 250 VA) and a typical power consumption around 100 W (up to ~130 W). The TSX-SUP-702 provides 1500 V rms isolation between the primary and secondary circuits, enhancing safety in industrial environments. Cooling is designed for natural convection, with no additional active cooling required for standard TSX rack installations. This module is intended to mount on a TSX compact rack to supply the low-voltage rails that energize the Modicon automation platform’s controller logic, I/O cards, and related electronics, delivering reliable, rail-based DC power essential for steady PLC operation.
