Schneider Electric TSX-RKY-8 Modicon Premium 8 Slot Chassis

Schneider Electric's TSX-RKY-8 Modicon Premium 8-slot chassis is an eight-slot, non-extendable base rack for a single-rack Modicon Premium configuration, housed in an IP20-rated metal frame and capable of holding up to eight modules. The backplane uses a 48‑way connector set (the first connector is reserved for the power supply) with a dedicated locating slot for the power supply module, plus mounting holes for secure installation. It includes a slot for the rack address label and a slot for the station network address label, and provides two earth terminals for grounding; two 9‑way SUB-D connectors support remote bus X connections to other racks. For Premium PLCs with either standard-format or double-format power supplies, the processor position on the rack is determined by the power supply type, and the address-0 rack must contain both a power supply module and the processor module, with other modules installed from position 02 onward (standard) or 03 onward (double-format). This TSX-RKY-8 serves as the eight-slot base in Modicon Premium systems and can be complemented by extendable TSXRKY8EX racks for multi-rack configurations if higher capacity is needed.
