Schneider Electric TM3TI8T Analog Input Module

The Schneider Electric TM3TI8T Analog Input Module is an 8‑channel temperature input expansion for the Modicon TM3 family, designed to attach to Modicon M221, M241, M251, and M262 controllers to broaden temperature measurement capabilities. Each of its eight inputs accepts temperature signals from thermocouples (types K, J, R, S, B, E, T, N, and C) or resistance temperature sensors (NTC/PTC), delivering precise readings across diverse thermal applications. The module is powered from a 24 V DC supply and draws about 30 mA at 24 V, with both screw-terminal (TM3TI8T) and spring-terminal (TM3TI8TG) connection options for flexible installation. It provides 16‑bit resolution (or 15‑bit plus sign) per input and a conversion time of 100 ms, plus 100 ms per channel and one controller cycle, enabling reliable monitoring in processes with moderate update requirements. Cable runs can extend up to 30 m (approximately 98 ft) per channel, making it suitable for distributed sensor networks within compact industrial environments. The TM3TI8T carries IP20 protection, ensuring suitable indoor use, and is part of Schneider Electric’s Modicon TM3 expansion I/O modules, offering a modular, scalable solution for expanding analog temperature inputs on compatible PLCs.
