Schneider Electric TM3DI16K Digital Input Module

Schneider Electric TM3DI16K is a 16-channel digital input expansion module for the Modicon TM3 family, delivering 16 24 VDC inputs with a single common line (two pins) and support for both sink and source wiring. It uses a built‑in HE10 (MIL 20) connector for inputs and power, accepts unshielded cables, and supports a maximum cable length of 30 m. Each input is rated for 24 VDC with an allowable range of 19.2 to 28.8 VDC and typically draws 5 mA per channel. The module weighs 65 g and is IP20 protected, with one green LED per channel indicating the input status. Designed as an expansion in TM3 I/O racks, the TM3DI16K connects to the TM3 backplane and is intended for monitoring signals from 24 VDC sensors such as pushbuttons, limit switches, and proximity sensors in industrial automation. For installation, Schneider Electric specifies pre-wired HE10 cables (for example TWDFCW30K 3 m or TWDFCW50K 5 m) to connect the TM3DI16K to the main TM3 IO assembly.
