Schneider Electric LRD318 Industrial Motor Starter

Schneider Electric's TeSys Deca LRD318 thermal overload relay provides motor protection for AC circuits with an adjustable current setting of 12–18 A and Class 10A sensitivity. This lightweight, 55 mm-wide device mounts directly on the lower terminals of TeSys LC1D contactors (D40A–D65A) to form a compact starter, and it supports 690 V AC operation with 1NO+1NC auxiliary contacts for remote signaling. The LRD318 uses a bimetallic thermal sensing element and includes temperature compensation for accurate overload protection, plus a manual test and reset function with a manual/automatic reset selector to fit different automation sequences. Some configurations use EverLink BTR screw connectors for easy wiring. As part of TeSys D open-starter assemblies, the LRD318 guards motor circuits against overload, phase imbalance, and stall conditions, helping prevent motor damage while enabling straightforward integration with Schneider Electric's TeSys control hardware. Optional variants describe the 12–18 A setting range within Class 10A, and the product is designed for industrial motor protection in panels and machine lines up to 690 VAC.
