It uses a resistive touch panel rated for up to 1,000,000 cycles and includes 64 MB of memory to host project data and runtime resources. The unit exposes a straightforward serial and USB footprint: a COM1 RS-232C port and COM2 RS-485 interface via RJ45, along with USB 2.0, while Ethernet is not included on this model. A multicolor status LED provides at-a-glance mode indication, and certain regional configurations list a built-in keyboard in addition to the touchscreen.
