Schneider Electric's BMEP584020 is a standalone Modicon M580 processor designed for Level 4 distributed I/O architectures. It provides 16 MB of memory and supports up to 125 Ethernet devices, along with eight local I/O racks that can handle 4,096 digital I/O and 1,024 analog I/O, delivering substantial input/output density in a single CPU. This CPU is built to operate within the Modicon M580 family in distributed topologies, enabling coordination across local and remote racks to simplify wiring and centralize control.
