Description:

Schneider Electric’s Andover Continuum BCX1-CR-0-INF is a native BACnet Building Controller/Router (Controller/Router) in the bCX1 family that merges network routing between BACnet/IP/Ethernet and MS/TP with embedded control logic and expandable I/O for building automation. The -0-INF designation identifies the base Infinet variant, designed to be extended with Andover xP expansion modules and optional XDriver interfaces for third‑party protocol integration. Power can be supplied by 24 VAC (±10%/−15%, 50/60 Hz) or by auto‑sensing 12–28 VDC, giving flexible installation options; operating temperature range is 0 to +49°C with 10–95% relative humidity (non‑condensing), and the unit measures 139 mm high by 213 mm wide by 62 mm deep. It houses 32 MB SDRAM and 16 MB Flash, with a replaceable, rechargeable battery providing typical RAM backup for about 30 days during power loss and ensuring data retention in Flash. For expansion, there is an I/O expansion port that supports up to two Andover xP expansion modules, enabling local I/O and display capabilities. Network features include a 10/100 Ethernet port and native Infinet connectivity, plus a built‑in web server for custom pages, dial‑in access, and SNMP management with optional alarming and XDrive support to connect third‑party devices. The BCX1‑CR supports BACnet object types commonly used in building management, offering capabilities such as Trends, Schedules, Calendars, and Loops to support complex control strategies and data logging. In applications, this model serves as a compact, co‑located BACnet Building Controller/Router ideal for HVAC control, energy management, and integrated building automation, with routing and programming combined in a single, expandable unit.
