Schneider Electric's Modicon AS-B872-100 Analog Output Module is a four-channel D/A output block for Schneider's Modicon 800-series I/O racks, delivering precise 4-20 mA current loops to field devices. Each of the four outputs provides a scalable 4-20 mA signal to drive actuators, valves, and other process equipment via standard current loops, enabling reliable analog control within automation panels. The module converts a digital setpoint in the 0–4095 range to a corresponding 4–20 mA current (12-bit resolution), giving fine control granularity across all channels. The AS-B872-100 supports a maximum loop supply voltage of up to 60 V DC, ensuring compatibility with common instrumentation wiring configurations.
