Schneider Electric AC-1 RS-485 I Access Control Module

Schneider Electric’s AC-1 RS-485 I/O Access Control Module is a single‑door access controller in the Andover Continuum family that sits on an RS‑485 network and interfaces with the NetController CPU. It provides a Wiegand reader interface (and can be paired with a keypad) to support access configurations based on card only, card plus PIN, or keypad only. The unit is powered from 24 VDC and communicates over RS‑485 to the NetController, enabling the Continuum system to apply access rights stored in the database. In a typical Continuum deployment, the NetController database can store up to 75,000 local personnel records (up to 4 million records per database). The AC-1 is designed to control a single door, making it a compact edge device for door entry in legacy Andover Continuum installations or integrations within Schneider Electric’s current building automation ecosystem.
