Schneider Electric 8030RIM125 Analog Input Module

Schneider Electric’s SY/MAX Class 8030-RIM-125 is a 16‑channel analog input module for Square D SY/MAX PLCs, designed to bring sixteen sensor signals into the controller as digital values. It plugs into a SY/MAX rack in any slot except slot 1 and provides sixteen input registers (one per channel) that convert the monitored analog signal to a numerical code in the 0 to 9998 range. The front panel features two terminal strips; each strip contains eight groups of two terminals (one pair per channel) with two additional terminals at the bottom, and each group corresponds to an input signal (positive and return, plus shield). Four DIP‑switch banks, accessible by removing a side cover plate, allow range selection, address border configuration, and software averaging to tailor the module to different sensors and wiring. The module accepts analog voltage or analog current signals and reports their values to the SY/MAX controller for monitoring and control in industrial automation applications. A RUN LED on the front serves as a quick status indicator of normal operation.
