Schneider Electric’s 171CCC98030 M1/M1E Processor Adaptor is a Momentum-compatible brain for Modicon Momentum systems, designed to plug into an M1/M1E rack to provide Ethernet networking and Modbus communications. It runs on a 50 MHz CPU and carries 1 MB of flash memory for firmware and programs along with 544 KB of RAM for runtime data, supporting up to 8192 discrete I/O points in a typical Momentum configuration. The module exposes one Ethernet interface for supervision or HMI connectivity and a second Modbus port (Port 2) implemented over RS-485 for Modbus RTU/RS-485 devices, enabling mixed-network automation and field-device integration.
