Schneider Electric 140NOM21100C DIO Head-End Adaptor

The Schneider Electric 140NOM21100C is a DIO head-end adaptor for the Modicon Quantum distributed I/O (DIO) network, providing a single Modbus Plus RS485 twisted-pair port to connect the head-end to an I/O drop, with an additional Modbus RS232 twisted-pair port for local monitoring. It is designed to work with drop adaptors such as the 140CRA21120 and 140CRA21110 to form a multi-drop DIO topology, and the Quantum DIO architecture supports up to three head-end adaptors per CPU with network distances up to 1,800 meters per network when using repeaters. The module handles 30 input words and 32 output words, runs at 1 Mbit/s, and draws about 4 W with a bus current of 780 mA, in the standard module format used by Modicon Quantum DIO hardware. Operating temperature ranges from 0 to 60 C (32 to 140 F), storage from -40 to 85 C, and humidity up to 95% non-condensing, with ESD and EMI protections suitable for industrial environments and typical life-cycle certifications such as UL 508 and CSA. Schneider Electric lists 140NOM21100C as discontinued for commercialization as of December 31, 2022, with end-of-life support through December 31, 2030.
