Schneider Electric Modicon Quantum 140NOM21100 DIO head-end adaptor provides a dedicated interface for discrete I/O on Modicon Quantum PLC systems. It includes one Modbus Plus RS485 twisted-pair port and one Modbus RS232 twisted-pair port, supporting 30 input words and 32 output words at a 1 Mbit/s transmission rate, all in the standard module form factor. The unit consumes about 4 W of power and requires roughly 780 mA on the bus; it also offers 4 kV contact electrostatic discharge protection in line with IEC 801-2.
