Schneider Electric’s 140ESI06210 ASCII Interface Module for Modicon Quantum delivers a two‑channel, bidirectional serial link via RS‑232C. The in‑rack module provides two non‑isolated RS‑232C ports (9‑pin D‑shell connectors) for ASCII data exchanges between the Quantum CPU and external devices. It supports shielded cable runs up to 20 meters, enabling flexible installation while maintaining signal integrity. Burst data rate for each port reaches 19.2 kbps, enabling relatively fast ASCII communication for configuration, monitoring, and data transfer tasks within the Quantum automation system.
