Schmersal BNS33-12ZG Magnetic Proximity Sensor

Schmersal BNS33-12ZG LED version is a non‑contact safety sensor from the BNS 33 family that uses a magnetic operating principle to monitor guards on industrial machinery. Housed in a fiberglass‑reinforced thermoplastic enclosure, it supports concealed mounting, measures 88 mm x 25 mm x 13 mm, and carries IP67 protection, with an integrated status LED that lights when the safety door is opened. The device operates from a 24 V DC supply and provides a switching arrangement of 1 normally open and 2 normally closed reed contacts, with a maximum switching current of 10 mA (0.24 W) and a switching frequency up to 5 Hz; coding level per EN ISO 14119 is low, and it complies with EN IEC 60947‑5‑3. The actuator is not included in the package, and the model holds cULus certification for safety applications in machine guarding.
