Schmersal BNS33-12Z-2187-3M Safety Interlock Switch

Schmersal BNS 33-12Z-2187 is a coded-magnet safety interlock switch designed to secure movable machine guards and prevent access to hazardous areas, using a magnetically actuated drive that provides non-contact sensing and long service life. It is intended to work with Schmersal safety-monitoring modules such as SRB(-E), PROTECT-SELECT, or PSC1, delivering safety-rated interlock functionality in compliance with EN IEC 60947-5-3 and BG-GS-ET-14, with coding levels defined by EN ISO 14119 as Low. The unit is built for harsh industrial environments, housed in a glass-fibre reinforced thermoplastic enclosure, and measures 88 mm x 25 mm x 13 mm with a weight around 810 g; it supports concealed mounting, is insensitive to transverse misalignment, and offers resistance to soiling and wear for extended life. In the 2187 configuration, it provides two normally closed contacts (2 NC) for safety circuits, and the product carries UL/cUL listing for industrial automation applications.
