Schmersal BNS 260-11 01ZG-ST-L Non Contact Magnetic Safety Switch
Schmersal BNS 260-11 01ZG-ST-L Non Contact Magnetic Safety Switch
Description:
The Schmersal BNS 260-11ZG-ST-L is a compact coded-magnet safety switch designed for safety interlocks on movable guards and robotic work cells. This non-contact magnetic sensor requires the BPS 260 actuator (sold separately) to form a complete interlock and uses an 8 mm, 6‑pole M8 connector; its sensor body measures 13 mm long by 26 mm wide by 36 mm high and weighs about 32 g, with an IP67 enclosure rated for -25 to +70 °C operation. Electrical specifications include a maximum switching voltage of 24 V DC, a maximum switching current of 0.01 A, and a switching power up to 0.24 W; it provides one normally open and two normally closed contacts, enabling safe signaling in dual-channel configurations, and the device supports a maximum switching frequency of 5 Hz. The switch features a magnetically actuated drive, left-hand door mounting (Left hinge), and a guaranteed ON distance Sao of 5 mm with an OFF distance Sar of 15 mm, in line with EN IEC 60947-5-3, while insulation voltage Ui is 75 V DC and impulse withstand voltage Uimp is 0.8 kV. It includes integral system diagnostics with a status LED and a low coding level per EN ISO 14119, with an estimated mission time of 20 years; recommended companion safety gear includes SRB-E-201LC or SRB-E-301ST and the BPS 260 actuator.
