Schmersal BNS 260-11 01ZG-R Safety Interlock Switch
Schmersal BNS 260-11 01ZG-R Safety Interlock Switch
Description:
Schmersal BNS 260-11/01ZG-R is a compact magnetic safety interlock switch designed to monitor the position of movable safety guards in safety circuits, terminating a hazardous situation immediately when the guard is opened in accordance with EN ISO 14119 and EN 60947-5-3. It features a safety switching element with 1 normally open and 2 normally closed contacts, and the LED version provides a status indicator that illuminates when the guard is closed; the device is right-hand hinged (R) and requires a separate actuator (the BPS 260 family) to operate. Electrical ratings specify a 24 VDC switching voltage, up to 0.01 A switching current and up to 0.24 W switching power, Ui 75 VDC, Uimp 0.8 kV, and a rated short-circuit current of 100 A, with the switching elements arranged as 1 NO and 2 NC contacts; the system supports an assured switching distance S_ar of 15 mm. The sensor body measures 13 mm (L) × 26 mm (W) × 36 mm (H), is IP67 rated for immersion and dust protection, tolerates -25 to +70 °C, and endures 10–55 Hz vibration (1 mm amplitude) with 30 g/11 ms shock resistance; it is supplied with a pre-wired 1 m cable (6 conductors, 0.25 mm²) and the cable mantle is PVC. Scope of delivery notes that the actuator must be ordered separately, and Schmersal lists compatible safety switchgear such as SRB-E-201LC and SRB-E-301ST to complete the safety circuit. This model is identified as BNS 260-11/01ZG-R, a right-hinged LED-enabled variant of the BNS 260 family.
