Schmersal BNS 250-12Z Inductive Proximity Sensor

Schmersal BNS 250-12Z is a compact magnetic safety sensor that provides one normally open and two normally closed contacts in a small, 33 mm × 25 mm × 13 mm thermoplastic enclosure and weighs about 60 g. Actuated by a magnet with head-on movement, it offers ON at 4 mm and OFF at 14 mm switching distances per EN IEC 60947-5-3, is IP67 rated for harsh environments, and operates from -25 °C to +70 °C. The unit features a 1 m, 4-conductor cable (0.25 mm²) and uses reed contacts with 1 NO and 2 NC contacts, supporting up to 24 VDC, 0.1 A, and 1 W switching capacity. Actuator must be ordered separately; it carries a 20-year mission time and a B10D life of 25,000,000 operations for NC and NC/NO configurations, aligning with EN ISO 13849-1 safety considerations.
