Schmersal AZM161ST-11 12RKA-24V Safety Interlock

AZM 161ST-11/12RKA-024 is a Schmersal power-to-lock solenoid interlock designed for safeguarding access doors on industrial equipment. Housed in a thermoplastic, double-insulated enclosure measuring 130 mm x 90 mm x 30 mm, the unit provides six electrical contacts (NO and NC) driven by a 24 V AC/DC control coil with a maximum power consumption of 10 W. It features protection against incorrect locking and offers two M12 connectors (4- and 8-pole) plus two cable entries M16 x 1.5 for wiring, with the actuator ordered separately. The interlock supports up to 1,000 switching cycles per hour, with magnet switch-on time at 100% and a test-pulse regime of up to 5 ms (interval at least 50 ms). Safety contacts are rated for AC-15 up to 230 VAC at 4 A and DC-13 up to 60 VDC at 2 A, with auxiliary contacts sharing the same AC-15/DC-13 ratings. The device complies with EN IEC 60947-5-1, EN ISO 13849-1, and EN ISO 14119, aligning with common machinery-safety standards. It is intended for hinged, removable, or sliding safety guards, and the actuator must be ordered separately; manual release via an M5 triangular key is available as an accessory for maintenance or servicing.
