Schmersal AZ 16-12ZVRK-M20 Safety Interlock Switch

Schmersal AZ 16-12ZVRK-M20 is a safety interlock switch with a separate actuator, designed for door interlocks on industrial machinery to ensure safe access control. Housed in a plastic, glass‑fibre reinforced thermoplastic shell that is self‑extinguishing, the unit provides three actuating directions, three cable entries (M20 x 1.5), a large terminal chamber, and universal coding compatible with EN ISO 14119 safety circuits. It features two safety contacts (normally closed) and one auxiliary contact (normally open), with electrical life of up to 2,000,000 cycles for the safety contacts and 1,000,000 for the auxiliary contact, plus a mechanical life of at least 1,000,000 operations and a 20‑year mission time. The AZ 16-12ZVRK-M20 supports EN IEC 60947-5-1 and EN ISO 13849-1 safety standards, with safety performance up to PL c (and up to PL d when used as a two‑channel solution with the proper safety logic unit); it carries an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance and weighs about 120 g with dimensions roughly 52 × 90 × 30 mm.
