Schmersal AES2285-24VDC Safety Controller

The Schmersal AES2285-24VDC Safety Controller is a compact safety-monitoring module that supervision-emergency stop, guard-door monitoring and magnetic safety-switch circuits across up to six safety guards. It operates from a 24 VDC supply and provides multi-evaluation of up to six safety guards, enabling scalable safety logic for complex automation. The device delivers dual-channel safety control and is designed for use with emergency-stop circuits and guard-door monitoring in compliance with EN ISO 13850 and EN 60947-5-5, EN ISO 14119 for interlocks, and EN 60947-5-3 for magnetic switches. An externally mounted reset button is integrated in the feedback circuit and activates the module on reset, with automatic-start programming possible through the feedback path. Electrical data include a power consumption of 3.6 W (DC) and 6.6 VA (AC), contact material of AgCdO with self-cleaning, positive-drive contacts, and a maximum contact resistance of 0.1 Ω. Response characteristics include a typical dropout delay of about 80 ms on power loss and 20 ms on emergency, and a pull-in delay at automatic start up to ~100 ms with RESET pull-in around ~20 ms. Safe relay outputs are rated for up to 230 VAC under the AC-15 utilization category.
