ExMax-50-SF-CTM is Schischek’s quarter-turn, spring-return explosion-protected actuator/positioner for ATEX zones 1, 2, 21, and 22, accepting a universal power supply from 24 to 240 VAC/DC, with the internal drive automatically adapting to the connected voltage and a built-in safety mechanism that ensures operation even under voltage fluctuations. The CTM variant features an aluminum housing for hazardous-area mounting, is IP66/67 rated, and is compatible with an ExBox to enable safe installation in Ex environments; it delivers 50 Nm torque and roughly 90° rotation to position dampers and quarter-turn valves in process lines. Control options include three-position operation with position feedback via 0–10 V DC or 4–20 mA signals, and integrated auxiliary switches that report end-of-travel positions; the spring-return mechanism engages when power is removed, ensuring fail-safe closure.
