Description:

The Samwontech Nova ST540 Temperature Controller is a high‑accuracy universal controller in the NOVA500 ST Series, built for precise PID control of heating and cooling processes in industrial equipment. It features an 18‑bit A/D converter with an accuracy of ±0.1% of full scale and a 250 ms sampling time, supporting four programmable setpoints (SP1–SP4) and both normal and heating/cooling control modes. The ST540 uses a single universal input that accepts thermocouples (K, J, E, T, R, B, S, L, N, U, W, Platinel II) or RTD/ resistance sensors (PT100 IEC, JPT100 JIS), with flexible analog input ranges including -10 to 20 mV, 0 to 100 mV, 0.4 to 2.0 V, 1 to 5 V, 0 to 10 V, and 4–20 mA/0–20 mA options (external resistance 250 Ω or 500 Ω attached). Output architecture provides two universal outputs for control and retransmission (PV, SP, MV) or loop power, plus a 12 V DC supply for auxiliary circuitry. The device also supports an alarm feature (heater break alarm) and RUN/STOP along with SP selection for easy operation in the field. Communications include PC‑Link, PC‑Link with Checksum, Modbus ASCII/RTU, and Sync Master/Slave up to 19.2 kbps, enabling integration with PLCs and supervision systems. Powering the ST540 is 100–240 V AC, 50/60 Hz, with a maximum draw around 10 VA. The compact front‑panel measures 48 × 48 × 78 mm (W × H × D), making it suitable for tight control panels in furnaces, ovens, reactors, and other process environments that demand reliable, high‑precision temperature regulation.
