The Sammons Preston PR-1501 Forma-Splint Thermal Bath is a full-size, stainless-steel water bath designed to heat and soften thermoplastic splinting materials for custom orthotics and hand-therapy devices. Its interior accommodates splinting sheets up to 24" x 18" (61 cm x 46 cm) and maintains a controlled heating range from 60°C (140°F) to 88°C (190°F) to ensure consistent material pliability. A front-mounted digital thermometer on the control panel provides precise temperature monitoring, while the unit features a drain valve, a grounded plug, and dual lids for safe, convenient draining and heat management. The SP-1501 configuration is designed for 100–120 V, 50/60 Hz operation at 15 A, with a higher-voltage SP-1501B variant available for 200–240 V, 50/60 Hz at 8 A.
