Description:
The Saia-Burgess Controls PCD4.C120 Version C bus module provides three serial interfaces for the PCD4 PLC system: RS-232 on channel 1 (modem-capable) and two 20 mA current-loop channels on channels 2 and 3. This bus module is designed to power and interface with the PCD4 central unit, drawing about 740 mA from the 5 V bus, with a maximum baud rate of 9600 bps. For modem connectivity, use the CH1 position with the PCD7.F120 communication module plugged in, as only the RS-232 interface carries the full control lines required for modem operation. The PCD4.C120 is part of Saia-Burgess’ modular PCD4 family and is compatible with other PCD4 bus modules and processors to support scalable automation architectures.
