Sacom Data KS-10P Data Module For Automation Equipment
Sacom Data KS-10P Data Module For Automation Equipment
Description:
KS-10P is an RS232C↔RS422 converter with an integrated AC power circuit, designed for legacy automation equipment that must bridge RS232 serial data to RS422 networks. Introduced in 1986 by Sacom, this module provides full-duplex conversion between a D-sub 9 pin RS232C connector (female, M2.6 screws) and a D-sub 25 pin RS422 connector (female, M2.6 screws). It is powered from AC 100 V and supports data rates up to 19.2 kbps; its operation is OS-agnostic, and its RoHS compliance is not supported. The unit measures 100 mm wide by 107 mm deep by 30 mm high (excluding protrusions) and weighs 500 g. Included accessories are the user manual and mounting brackets. CTS/RTS flow control is available on the control lines, making it suitable for point-to-point or simple multi-device link configurations in manufacturing automation, machine tooling interfaces, and data-collection setups where RS232 devices must talk to RS422 inputs. The KS-10P is a discontinued model, with Sacom listing a successor KS-10P-HS for ongoing availability and support.
