Robertshaw MC20-1101 Time Delay Relay
Robertshaw MC20-1101 Time Delay Relay
Description:
The Robertshaw MC20-1101 Time Delay Relay, part of the Gard-Pak III Pilot/Motor Relay family, provides a built-in 90-second delay to sequence power to burner-related circuits in oil- or gas-fired heating equipment. It uses a 120 VAC coil and can switch loads up to 300 VA at 120 VAC on its contact outputs, making it suitable for controlling a burner motor and pilot circuit in older controls. The MC20-1101 is the updated replacement for the MC20-1001, with upgrade options available via the 3420-104 Uni-Kit that includes hardware to swap in the newer unit in compatible systems. Note that the MC20-1101 has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is commonly found through surplus, used, or legacy replacement channels. Typical applications include furnace and boiler controls that require a timed start sequence to ensure safe ignition and operation, particularly in oil burner installations where a fixed 90-second delay helps coordinate valve actuation and ignition timing.
