Robertshaw 318A-B1 Level-Tek Level Control Module

The Robertshaw 318A-B1 Level-Tek Level Control Module is an on/off, solid-state RF level detector that uses a Level-Tek probe to sense material height in tanks, sumps, silos, and other vessels, and then switch a DPDT relay to drive pumps, alarms, or valves. Powered from 120V AC (50/60 Hz), it draws about 8 watts (8 VA) and offers an adjustable time-delay to tailor response to process dynamics. The 318A family requires a separate Level-Tek probe (the probe is shown in dealer listings for illustration and must be ordered separately). The B1 variant is documented as CSA-certified for use in selected hazardous locations and is available in configurations described as explosion-proof or weather-tight enclosure in some listings. Historically, the 318A Level-Tek model has been superseded in some catalogs by the 5318B, but 318A-B1 remains a cataloged configuration in legacy inventories. It detects both conductive and non-conductive materials, including liquids, powders, granules, lumps, and flakes, and its DPDT output provides flexible, isolated control of downstream equipment.
