Robertshaw 025-19369C-004 Statorstat Motor Protector is a solid-state motor protection module in the MP23-series designed to guard refrigeration and HVAC compressor motors by monitoring stator winding temperature. Sensors embedded in or in thermal contact with the windings provide resistance changes that feed a protective circuit, with a bridge-resistor network as part of the sensing architecture, to trip or regulate the motor when winding temperature rises beyond a safe point. This protector is commonly used with semi-hermetic refrigeration compressors and related equipment to detect overheating in the stator windings and protect the motor from damage.
