The Reliance Electric 45C-97 AutoRail Interface Module is a compact remote I/O interface for Reliance’s AutoMate/AutoMax PLC family, designed to connect the AutoMate 20 Remotely Mounted I/O module to a processor unit. When paired with the 45C35 AutoBus Interface Head, it enables AutoRail communication over distances up to 1,000 feet with minimal field wiring. As a legacy AutoMax component, the 45C-97 is no longer produced by Reliance Electric, but surplus and repair vendors continue to list it for compatible AutoMate systems.
