Reliance Electric 57C409 Isolated Control Analog Input Module

The Reliance Electric 57C409 Isolated Control A/D Analog Input Module is a 2-channel analog input module designed for the Reliance AutoMax / DCS 5000 rack system, delivering isolated sensor signals to the control logic. It provides two inputs sharing a single isolated common and 600-volt isolation between the input signals and the logic plane. Each channel accepts common industrial signals such as 1–5 V, 0–10 V, or 4–20 mA, enabling direct reading from potentiometers, tachometers, drive control circuits, and other process sensors. Power for the isolated portion is supplied on board via a DC-DC converter, with system power requirements listed as +5 V at up to about 3.05 A and +15 V / -15 V rails at about 25 mA each, and a maximum module power dissipation of 25 W. The ADC delivers 12-bit resolution with sign, 100% overrange, and user-programmable input filters and conversion rates; update periods range from 500 microseconds up to 32.767 seconds, with a sample-and-hold front end to keep inputs stable during conversion. Four LEDs on the faceplate indicate clock status and module operation, while the module dimensions are 11.75 inches high, 1.25 inches wide, and 7.375 inches deep to fit standard Reliance AutoMax racks.
