Reliance Electric 57C330B Automax Remote I Head

The Reliance Electric AutoMax Remote I/O Head, model 57C330B, is a dedicated interface module for the AutoMax distributed control system that connects the AutoMax Remote I/O network to Local Heads, digital or analog rails, LED modules, or thumbwheel switches. It accepts a 120 VAC or 240 VAC input (102–132 V or 204–264 V, respectively) at 50/60 Hz, with a hold-up time of 3 cycles and a maximum power dissipation around 50 W. The unit comprises a power supply, a processor board, a remote I/O board, a faceplate, and a protective metal enclosure, and the faceplate includes a single 250 V fuse. Notably, it should not be used as an interface to drives with rail-type ports (such as GP-2000/VTAC V controllers); if communication with any drives is lost, the Remote I/O Head resets and raises an AutoMax 31 error, halting AutoMax tasks. Dimensions are approximately 9.40 in high by 5.50 in wide by 7.55 in deep with cables attached (9.50 in deep without cables), and the assembly weighs about 6.5 lb (2.9 kg). Environmental ratings specify operation from 0°C to 60°C, 5–95% non-condensing humidity, and up to 3,300 ft altitude, with storage from -40°C to 85°C.
