Reliance Electric 57404-H Network Communications Module

Reliance Electric 57404-H Network Communications Module is the rack-to-rack network interface for AutoMax distributed control systems, providing the hardware to transmit control and status data between two or more AutoMax Controllers in a network. The module includes its own CPU and 4K-word dual-port memory, and it uses a 9-pin D-shell connector for high-speed rack-to-rack communications plus a 25-pin MONITOR RS-232 serial port for local status and self-test. In an AutoMax rack, a complete network drop must include a Power Supply, a Processor, and a Network Communications Module, with the master at drop 0 and subsystems at drops 1–55.
