Relcom FBT-6 Fieldbus Monitor Assembly

Relcom FBT-6 Fieldbus Monitor is a Foundation Fieldbus diagnostic tool that lets you inspect a live FF network without interrupting its operation, making it ideal for commissioning and ongoing troubleshooting. It can store and download readings from eight segments to a PC via USB, and its accompanying FBT-6 Assistant software supports Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 10. Core capabilities include automatic segment testing with OK/BAD indicators, DC voltage measurement, detection of shorts between conductors and shield, and visibility into retransmissions on the segment. It also measures noise across three bands (below, at, and above fieldbus frequencies), tracks when devices are added or removed, and displays device addresses in both decimal and hexadecimal, including the lowest-signal device. Data collected can be transferred to a PC through USB, firmware updates can be performed via USB, and the system can generate printable reports detailing segment health. The monitor is designed for use in hazardous areas and carries appropriate safety certifications, including FM CID1 and FMC CID1 for the FBT-6(-PA) variant, as well as ATEX Ex and IEC Ex certificates of conformance. Note that Relcom lists the FBT-6 as discontinued, reflecting its status in the company’s current product lineup.
