Red Lion Controls MDI2T11A Message Display Intelligent Unit

Red Lion Controls MDI2T11A is a compact, AC-powered Message Display Intelligent Unit designed for industrial annunciation and PLC communication. It uses a 2x20 transmissive LCD with negative-image characters and backlighting options including red backlighting or a tri-color backlight (red, orange, yellow-green) for status indication. The device supports 256 stored messages and a message queue that can hold up to 32 requested messages, plus real-time clock/calendar for time and date functions. For integration, it offers serial communications with isolated 20 mA current loop, a parallel interface, and an output/busy terminal (NPN open-collector). Additional features include embedded data, elapsed timers, and support for scrolling or blinking characters, with 153 displayable characters (including 96 ASCII).
