Raytek Marathon MM-series infrared thermometer, model RAYMM3MLCF1V, provides non-contact temperature readings from 100°C to 600°C (212°F to 1112°F) with a 70:1 field of view and a fast 20 ms response time, making it well-suited for high-temperature process monitoring in metalworking, glass, and plastics manufacturing. Its 2.3 μm spectral response and rugged, stainless-steel housing support reliable measurements on emissivity-challenged surfaces, and it features through-the-lens sighting with laser alignment; this variant offers video sighting as an alternative to laser alignment and has a close-focus distance of about 190 mm (7.5 in) to accommodate tight geometries. Power is supplied via 24 VDC at 500 mA, and the 4-20 mA output delivers 0.1°C resolution, enabling seamless integration with common process controllers or networks; the instrument can operate as a standalone unit or as part of a multi-sensor network.
