Raychem AMC-F5 Line Sensing Thermostat

The Raychem AMC-F5 is a fixed-setpoint electrical thermostat for freeze-protection in heat-tracing installations, designed for nonhazardous locations and capable of ambient-sensing (capillary bulb in air) or line-sensing (sensor mounted on pipe or tank wall) operation. It provides a nonadjustable 40°F (4.4°C) set point with a narrow 2–12°F deadband and an accuracy of ±3°F (±1.7°C), and it can switch a single heat-tracing circuit or drive a contactor coil to control multiple circuits. The unit is rated for 22 A at 125/250/480 VAC with a SPST switch, housed in a NEMA 4X, UV-resistant thermoplastic enclosure, and it uses one 3/4 in conduit entry for wiring. Overall dimensions are 5.2 in high by 3.2 in wide by 2.5 in deep, and it includes a fluid-filled silicone bulb with a 2.5 ft capillary, plus two 14 AWG pigtails and a ground screw.
