Oriental Motor MSP-2W DC Motor Speed Controller

MSP-2W DC Motor Speed Controller from Oriental Motor is a compact member of the MSS-W series designed to provide reversible, analog speed control for DC motors. Speed is set by an external DC voltage in the 0–5 V range with a minimum input current of 10 mA, and the unit supports CW, CCW, FREE, and SPEED SET modes for flexible operation. The controller uses separate power and control signal inputs, enabling independent speed control while the motor power is supplied from a dedicated source. Insulation withstand testing shows no abnormality after applying 2.3 kVAC (3.0 kV for MSP-2W) between the power input terminal and the signal input terminal for 1 minute at 50/60 Hz, ensuring robustness in electrical environments. As part of Oriental Motor’s MSS-W family, the MSP-2W is suited for small DC motors in automation and robotics applications where compact, programmable speed control and directional switching are needed.
