Allen-Bradley 1746-HSCE2 High-Speed Counter Encoder Module

The Allen-Bradley 1746-HSCE2 High-Speed Counter Encoder Module is a four-channel, SLC 500 I/O module designed to count fast pulses from quadrature encoders and related sensors, feeding precise position or speed data back to the PLC. It connects to the 1746 backplane in an SLC 500 chassis and accepts differential encoder inputs with opto-isolation on the inputs for noise immunity. Each channel supports high-speed quadrature signaling with a maximum input frequency of up to 50 kHz per channel, enabling accurate pulse counting on fast conveyors or machine tools. The module is powered from a standard 5–24 V DC supply and is designed for use with Allen-Bradley SLC 500 controllers.
