Mitsubishi Electric Q61P-A1 Power Supply Module

The Mitsubishi Electric Q61P-A1 power supply module is a MELSEC-Q Series PLC power source that converts 100–120 VAC at 50/60 Hz into a stable 5 V DC supply for CPU and I/O modules in Q Series racks. It provides up to 6 A of output, with a maximum input apparent power of about 105 VA, and an inrush current around 20 A (8 ms). The unit measures approximately 98 × 55.2 × 90 mm, weighs about 0.3 kg, supports IP20 protection, and includes a status LED to indicate power/operation; mounting is rack-based on the Q Series base unit. Efficiency is ≥70%, and it offers overcurrent and overvoltage protection with a momentary power interruption tolerance of ≤20 ms. Typical applications are industrial automation environments such as manufacturing lines, process control systems, packaging machinery, and material handling systems where reliable PLC operation depends on a stable 5 V DC supply. This is a discontinued model, with common replacements including Mitsubishi Q61P and Q61P-A2, as well as Siemens SITOP PSU equivalents.
