Industrial UE401-A0010 Safety Switching Device

UE401-A0010 is SICK’s UE401 evaluation unit (part no. 6027343) for the L4000 System of single-beam safety switches, designed to safely evaluate and process the signals from these safety sensors. It provides restart interlock and external device monitoring (EDM), supports 1 to 8 sensor pairs, and delivers a fast response time of ≤ 30 ms. The unit is rated Type 4 (IEC 61496-1), SIL 3 (IEC 61508), and PL e (EN ISO 13849), with a PFH of 2.9 × 10^-10 per hour and a 20-year mission time; when used with L4000 sensors, the safe state ensures at least one OSSD is OFF in fault conditions. It mounts on a 35 mm DIN rail (EN 60715), has an IP20 enclosure, operates from -20 °C to +55 °C, uses plug-in screw-terminals, and supports cable lengths up to 100 m with conductor cross-sections of 0.25–2.5 mm²; it is intended for configuring cascaded safety arrangements with L4000 single-beam switches to enable compact, fast safety evaluation.
